about me

Hi, I’m Kevin Thomas.

A web programmer living just outside London, I specialise in Flash, Flex  with advanced ActionScript and PHP, although I’m usually keen to learn anything new.

When I was young I wanted to be an engineer and chose to study Engineering and Electronics at college. I followed that with a Media Technology course at University after which I began working in the web industry.  I have also completed Masters Degree in Interactive Production at Southampton Solent University (formerly Southampton Institute) and recently taken some training in using papervision with Carlos Ulloa the guy who invented it.

I still have a keen interest in maths, physics and mechanics, which is often reflected in my work. I’m interested in using programming to explore the visualisation of mathematical systems, as well as the use of simple formulae to represent physical properties and processes, which can then be used in interface design and multimedia projects.

Outside of work, I play bass in several bands and try to attend as much live music as possible.
